“The Quaich Project at West Princes Street Gardens represents the next evolutionary chapter in the story of one of Edinburgh’s most famous landmark locations. The vision is to reimagine this historic place as a space for all to celebrate and enjoy in new ways – with dynamic architectural designs and innovative facilities – all the time being respectful to the people, wildlife, landscape and heritage of Scotland’s capital.”
Recollective was commissioned by The Quaich Project to produce several short films and stories on the gardens to help launch the project. We met with people who love the gardens, who use the gardens and who remember the gardens from their childhoods. All had a vested interest in the future of the gardens and a desire to see them become world class while retaining their sense of tranquillity and beauty. Our films and stories reveal local peoples’ connections with and passion for the gardens.
